Biography

Steve Anderson has been a trial lawyer for 36 years. Mr. Anderson has handled a wide variety of high-stakes lawsuits, including business disputes, product liability, civil rights, and health care liability/medical malpractice cases. He has tried over 60 jury trials in state and federal courts, and a similar number of bench trials, in both the largest cities and in some of the smallest counties of Tennessee.  Mr. Anderson has also represented clients numerous times before state and federal appellate courts, including the Tennessee Supreme Court and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Anderson has been consistently recognized as one of the state’s Top 50 lawyers by Super Lawyers.  Mr. Anderson has also twice been named as the Best Lawyers’ Lawyer of the Year in Nashville Medical Malpractice Law. In 2009, he was inducted as a fellow into The American College of Trial Lawyers, a selective and prestigious national organization.

Mr. Anderson has also been a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel for 20 years and served on various committees for that organization.  He has also completed Rule 31 training as a civil mediator and has served as a mediator in many lawsuits involving complex business disputes and personal injury cases.
